Speed

Speed limitation in Bulgaria is: 50 kilometers per hour in settlements; 90 kilometers per hour on out-of-town roads;130 kilometers per hour on highways.These are maximum allowed speeds and the statutory requirements permited violation of speed to be observed by cameras.

 

Seat-belts

 

“Expressautorent” strongly recommended all passengers, including driver, to use seat-belts. Children must be seated only on permited places and child-seats to be used for their safety. Bulgarian police closely observed seat-belts and child-seat using.

 

Do not drive after alcohol usage

 

Be carefull, do not drive after alcohol usage or under the influence of narcotics or medicines. Alcohol concentration in blood stream must not be more 0.5 ‰. If the alcohol concentration is above this limit, it is treaten as a criminal offence. The alcohol level is observed with test-dregers and police control is done by casual selection.

 

Parking

 

You need to park only on allowed places. In cities’ centers there are differentiated “blue zones” in which parking is paid. If you park on place that is not allowed for parking your car might be repatriate on police parking and you will have to pay penalty.

 

Do not keep luggage and/or values in the car

 

         Be sure your values are not on visible places when you leave the car. The best place tor them is in the clamp or in the luggage-grid.

         Do not leave your stereo into the car.

 

Roads and directions

 

         Road signs are written in Bulgarian and English both.

         Because of costant renovations of the roads in Bulgaria “Expressautorent” recommended usage of a road map or GPS which we can provide if you wish.

 

Car accidents

 

In the case of a car accident you need to inform “Expressautorent” and we will cotact with the authoritis.
